I Demoted the Sect's Treasures into Cabbages
By @john1208
Mao Rin-Hua is a lowly sweeper at the Cang-Wu Botanical Sect, ridiculed for her lack of cultivation and her foolishly soft heart. When the arrogant inner disciples throw a suffocating, mud-caked ink-carp out of the prized lotus pond just for being 'ugly,' Rin-Hua gives up her monthly spiritual water ration to save it in her cracked wooden basin. She doesn't know the fish is Jin-Hai, the cursed Dragon Sovereign of the Azure Deep. To repay her kindness, Jin-Hai doesn't just grant her power - he binds her soul to the Dragon's Ledger. Rin-Hua gains the unprecedented ability to 'promote' and 'demote' the spiritual grade of anything. As the elites mock her for tending a dirt patch of weeds, she quietly promotes them into legendary divine herbs. Meanwhile, she demotes the bullies' stolen, priceless lotuses into common cabbages. Soon, her humble shack becomes a thriving sanctuary for abused spirit beasts, while the sect's arrogant geniuses watch their grand gardens mysteriously wither into useless brush. But when the Sect Master demands Rin-Hua's sanctuary be violently confiscated, will her ledger be enough to rewrite the sect's hierarchy entirely?
