I Swapped Bodies to Open a Haunted Kitchen (And Made My Rival Wash Dishes)
By @john1208
Standing at my own funeral in the borrowed body of a pathetic, debt-ridden medium was humiliating enough. But watching my arrogant rival, Sterling Graves, butcher the catering with his overpriced, flavorless kraken caviar? That was an unforgivable crime against cuisine. I was Ovidia Marrow, the secret prodigy of a legendary culinary dynasty, murdered and unceremoniously shoved into the life of 'Leta' - a disgraced psychic who just inherited a rotting, ghost-infested manor. The spirits of this house are feral, demanding, and dangerously hungry. Fortunately, I’ve never met a mouth I couldn't feed. With nothing but cheap root vegetables and a rusted cauldron, I start cooking. Soon, my haunted house is the hottest underground bistro in Somberholme, pacifying ancient wraiths with a single bite. But when Sterling bursts in to shut down my underdog tavern, he accidentally tastes my peasant stew. The pompous aristocrat instantly bursts into ugly tears, ruining his bespoke suit as he drops to his knees, begging to scrub my haunted floors for just one more spoonful. But how long can I hide my true identity when my greatest rival refuses to leave my kitchen?
