The Vermilion Betrothal
By @john1208
Wei Chen is dragged into the Nether-Realm Cycle, a lethal survival game where his first instance is a terrifying ghost wedding at the Qiao Family Manor. The rules are absolute and written in blood: Do not look at her red shoes. Do not speak during the three bows. Do not lift her red veil before midnight. Most players cower, hoping to survive the night as obedient sacrifices. But Wei Chen notices something the others miss: the rules aren't designed to protect the players from the Ghost Bride. They are ritualistic seals designed to keep Jiang Muxue, a centuries-old calamity, suppressed and chained to the manor. Instead of fleeing the terrifying boss, Wei Chen decides to court her. With whispered teases during the deathly silent ceremony and scandalous touches that violate the manor's strict taboos, he turns survival horror into a deadly, charged romance. As Jiang Muxue's sealed powers awaken with every broken rule, she stops hunting the players and starts violently protecting her brazen new groom. Can Wei Chen fully unseal his supernatural bride before the furious System purges them both?
