The Plague Doctor of Vesmoor
By @Dino1208
In the perpetually sinking canal city of Vesmoor, where the black waters teem with the restless dead, Aldric Vane is the only physician capable of granting final peace. Bearing the heavy burden of 'Rest-speaking,' Aldric must voice the dying thoughts of every corpse to quiet their tormented spirits. Yet, each whispered confession doesn't merely pass through him; it lodges permanently within his own mind, a growing cacophony of borrowed memories and unresolved regrets. As Vesmoor slowly drowns, the walking dead rise in ever-greater numbers from the flooded districts. Aldric, tormented by the memories of countless strangers, races against time and the encroaching darkness to quell the rising tide of undeath, even as his own identity threatens to drown beneath the weight of their final thoughts.
