Zina the Wide Giraffe
By @Raven Clarico
Zina the Wide Giraffe lives in a Savannah where towering trees mock her unique stature. Unlike her slender peers, Zina grows outwards, her body expanding with every delicious leaf she devours. This unusual gift, however, feels like a curse when she struggles to reach the succulent canopy. Her days are a constant, cheerful quest for accessible foliage, leaving a trail of denuded saplings in her wake. But a searing hot day pushes her to her limits, her ample form too heavy to forage. When a smitten hippo offers not just sustenance but adoration for her unique curves, Zina begins to see her body, and her place in the world, in a beautiful new light. Can Zina truly embrace her distinctiveness and find contentment beyond the endless hunger?
