A Hunter's Lethal Bond
By @john1208
I am running out of breath, blood, and time. My story doesn't begin with a tearful goodbye; it starts with a frantic, desperate sprint through the jagged crags of the Shrieking Weald. My Alpha, Bramus, didn't just reject me - he ordered his enforcers to hunt me down so he could safely crown my sadistic sister, Tarsia, as his true Luna. Cornered in a forgotten catacomb, I smash the sacred Sunken Anvil and absorb its bleeding shadow-magic. The power surge is intoxicating, transforming me into a terrifying force of nature, but it triggers a cruel biological curse: a dormant fated mate bond. Enter Kresten, a ruthlessly wealthy human billionaire who secretly runs an elite syndicate dedicated to eradicating supernaturals. My new glow-up is a beacon that draws my worst enemy straight to me. The vindication of watching Bramus forced to his knees in terror before Kresten's limitless wealth and silver-armed mercenaries is sweet, but it comes at a harrowing cost. There is no love in Kresten's cold eyes. He only wants the artifact's magic running through my veins to weaponize it against my kind. Trapped in a loveless, lethal alliance, can I figure out how to break this fated bond before my so-called mate drains me dry?
