The Phantom of Pitt Street: The Life, Crimes, and Scandal of Reginald Aubrey Doyle
By @Chris
In the grimy underbelly of 1910s Sydney, Reginald 'Reggie' Doyle, a hot-headed master conman and forger, carves his legend. Born into destitution, Reggie's nimble fingers and sharper wit allow him to dance through the shadows of Pitt Street, outsmarting coppers and rival gangs alike. But his audacious heists are not just for survival; they're a desperate, reckless bid to validate his existence, to prove his worth in a world that cast him aside. Each score, each forged document, is a scream against the deafening silence of his past, a futile attempt to fill the gaping void left by a family he barely knew. As his notoriety grows, so too does the attention of a hidden, far more dangerous organization, threatening to turn his personal war into a city-wide powder keg. Reggie's game of cat and mouse is about to become a fight for his very soul.
