The Maestro's Discarded Vow
By @john1208
Ojasvi sacrificed five grueling years in the freezing peaks of Devgiri to master the soul-binding music of the Anahata. She endured the isolation to secure a prestigious marriage, believing it was the only way to protect her frail younger brother, Yash, from their greedy relatives. But a strange, heavily perfumed letter summons her back to the capital, only for Ojasvi to discover her fiancé, Shaurya, embracing a fragile girl who looks just like her. His excuse? 'She is pitiful and needs me, you are strong.' Hot-tempered and fiercely loyal, Ojasvi refuses to shed a single tear. She hurls his priceless engagement ring into the courtyard's refuse bin and walks away forever. Free from the burden of a faithless man, Ojasvi turns her fiery spirit toward her art. As her music captivates the nation, Shaurya is left destitute, betrayed by the very stand-in who robs him blind. Yet, a deep melancholy haunts Ojasvi as she uncovers a shocking truth: the restrictive societal rules she sacrificed her youth to appease were a lie, and her musical rank granted her absolute authority all along. Can she forgive herself for the years lost playing a rigged game?
