Looting the Ashen Nuptials
By @john1208
The air inside the Chapel of Oplenac was thick with atmospheric dread as the doomed engagement of Lady Danica began. Assassins lurked in the rafters, and the demonic Ashen Vanguard marched on the courtyard. It was a flawless gothic tragedy - until the groom, Dragoš, woke up. Convinced he was merely testing the new deep-dive VR game 'Mists of Zvergrad', the shameless gamer immediately tried to skip the unskippable wedding cutscene by aggressively performing jumping jacks at the altar.
When the ceremony refused to end, Dragoš hijacked the dismal banquet, throwing together a 'basic stamina stew' that accidentally cured ancient curses and caused the nobility to spontaneously ascend. Spotting the assassins above, he flashed a glitch-abusing emote that they immediately mistook for the lost sign of their ancient Founder. As the demonic vanguard breached the walls, expecting a massacre, Dragoš enthusiastically treated the apocalyptic invaders like low-level farming mobs. Danica can only watch in awe as her bizarre husband dismantles reality with a cheeky grin. But neither knows that Dragoš's casual UI warning - 'Server Shutdown in 30 Days' - is actually a cosmic countdown to the realm's total annihilation. Can a gamer obsessed with exploiting hitboxes accidentally save a doomed world before the clock runs out?
