Chapter 1: The Rise of the Fallen Queen The morning sun reflected gracefully off the metal doors of Westbridge High. To an ordinary observer, everything seemed normal—students chatting, laughter echoing down the halls. But to anyone paying close attention, the truth was clear: Westbridge High School was a mere shadow of its former glory. Clubs that were once united had fractured into isolated factions. The school, which used to dominate every inter-school competition year after year, was now on a five-game losing streak. Budgets once organized for school projects were being squandered on parties. Ever since Lena and Lucien began manipulating Aria, the school had never been the same. Suddenly, a car pulled up directly in front of the main entrance. A figure stepped outside. As she emerged, it felt as though the entire courtyard held its breath. There stood Aria—the fallen queen. She walked into the school with steady confidence, her heels clicking rhythmically against the floor. Whispers instantly rippled through the hallway. "Look, isn't that the fallen queen?" "After that kind of humiliation, I never expected to see her again." Aria didn't spare them a single glance. She walked straight toward her classroom, where she immediately spotted Lena—one of the people she had once trusted most. Lena stood up the moment she caught sight of Aria. "Aria! Where did you go? I was so worried! You stayed away for a month without giving any news." To an outsider, Lena looked like a caring best friend. But Aria knew better; she could see right through the fake concern written across Lena’s face. After a brief pause, Aria did something completely unexpected: she offered a soft smile. "I'm sorry if I worried you," Aria replied smoothly. The simple statement caught Lena off guard, though she quickly masked her surprise. "Looks like Lucien isn't around," Aria added, her voice calm and light. Relieved, Lena assumed Aria was still the same gullible girl as before. With a cheerful, deliberate mock in her tone, she said, "No, he's out of town for a few weeks..." She paused, leaning in slightly. "Aria, I think you should turn the page. It's been a month. You need to let Lucien go. We're dating." Murmurs started spreading around the classroom, with nearby students quietly labeling Aria as toxic. The tension in the room grew heavy. Aria’s voice cut through the atmosphere—playful, yet sharp as a blade: "Don't worry, I turned the page a long time ago. And you shouldn't be proud of someone you got by betraying your best friend." The room went dead silent. The strike landed clean. Nervousness flashed across Lena's face, expecting anger or further public humiliation. Desperate to maintain control, she quickly fumbled for a response, putting on a fake, sad chuckle. "Aria, it's not what you think! Lucien and I are really in love, that—" "If you love yourself that much, then stay together," Aria interrupted, her voice cool and final. "You make such a wonderful couple." Before Lena could recover, Aria leaned in close, whispering softly so only Lena could hear: "Hope you enjoyed being the 'queen,' 'cause I'm here to take my title back." With a subtle smirk, Aria turned away without another word, leaving Lena visibly shaken and struggling to keep her composure. Aria arrived at her desk and sat down peacefully, as the air in the room remained thick with tension.
