Any% Out of Bounds

The clock dropped from sixty to fifty-four in a brutal hitch of rendering latency.

"The core is forty spans inside its throat," Ghavir spat, rubbing blood from his gums where a backfired string had ruptured the capillaries. "We don't climb it. We don't fight it. We skip the encounter entirely."
Naliri sank to one knee, her white tabard grayed with digital particulate. Her fingers dug into the mesh of the fractured floor, leaving scorch marks of raw luminance. "Speak plain, Deliverer. The abomination awakens, and my soul-tallow runs dry."
"Chibek," Ghavir snapped. "Spit out the inventory mirror. Every item slot. Now."
The floating cursor above his wrist wobbled, then swelled into a slimy, rubbery ball with protruding eyeballs. "Boss, no! If I open the buffer while the memory is clogged, my bladder will invert! It hurts when the integers rub together!"
"I don't care about your bladder. Shift into an anchor block and dump the inventory."
[TIME REMAINING: 00:41]
The Shard-Mind’s saw-toothed mandible trembled. A low, grinding resonance vibrated through Ghavir’s boots as its polygonal facets began to rotate, shaking off Naliri’s stack-overflow stun. Its multi-angled maw spread open, revealing an abyss lined with rotating crystalline teeth and, buried deep down the unrendered throat, a solitary pulsing prism: the world's master logic node.
"You want to live?" Ghavir grabbed Chibek by his slimy throat. "Drop the hundred copper pots from the larder run. All of them. Same coordinate. Same frame."
"That’s—that’s an illegal collision state!" Chibek squealed, his pupils wheeling like mismatched dice. "The spatial grid won't permit overlapping hitboxes!"
"Exactly. It will calculate displacement force to separate them. And since there's nowhere sideways to go—"
"It goes up," Naliri whispered, her pale face catching the red glare from the purge countdown.
"Get behind me, Saintess. Or turn to smear."
Ghavir dropped his center of gravity, planting his heels against the lip of a broken masonry tile. He aimed his shoulders directly at the towering aperture of the Shard-Mind's maw.
"Dump them!" Ghavir roared.
Chibek shrieked, flattened into a dense obsidian prism, and puked an endless stream of solid cast-iron cookware directly between Ghavir's boots.
One hundred identical cooking pots occupied the exact same three-dimensional coordinate.
The terrain engine groaned. For a tenth of a second, nothing happened—just the horrifying friction of solid matter occupying identical space. Then the displacement calculation resolved with cataclysmic velocity.
A localized kinetic detonation erupted beneath Ghavir’s soles.
The sound was not thunder; it was the sickening shriek of mathematical despair. The physics calculations violently attempted to resolve the spatial overlap, launching Ghavir skyward like an artillery shell. His shins fractured on impact with the sheer acceleration. The wind ripped the air straight out of his lungs, tearing the skin along his cheekbones.
Behind him, Naliri screamed an incantation to shield herself, while Chibek spun away through the sky, wailing like a punctured bellows.
Ghavir didn't look down. He locked his gaze onto the churning maw of the Shard-Mind.
He hit the creature’s open mouth at supersonic speed.

[HP: 840/840 -> 120/840]
The serrated polyhedral teeth tore through his leather armor, shearing away flesh and grinding against his ribs. The world became a smear of inverted normals, grey checkerboards, and raw wireframes. A second protrusion clipped his hip, pitching him violently in the dark void of the creature's interior.

[HP: 12/840 -> 01/840]

One hit point. His vision flickered between stark white and absolute black. Every nerve screamed in agony, his broken legs dragging behind him as momentum carried his shattered body through the hollow gullet of the Shard-Mind.
There it was.
Suspended in the center of the entity’s core cavity floated the master logic node—a crystalline octahedron gyroscoping on twelve axes, thrumming with the low, steady heartbeat of the entire rotting realm.
[TIME REMAINING: 00:11]
"Die, you miserable piece of shit," Ghavir wheezed, his mouth filling with hot copper.
He didn't have a weapon left; his iron daggers had vaporized against the outer teeth. Instead, he reached into his sleeve, pulling out the splintered, razor-sharp shard of the broken Spectacles he had tucked away when Ozarrak struck him down.
The shard thrummed with residual sight, humming against his raw knuckles.
Mid-fall, with his last shred of momentum, Ghavir twisted his upper body and drove the splintered glass point straight into the dead center of the revolving node.
Impact.
The glass didn't shatter; it sank deep into the core's prime axis like a hot nail into wax.
A sharp, deafening chime rang through the void—a clear, bell-like ring that instantly swallowed all sound. The violent lurch of Ghavir’s fall stopped dead. His coat flaps, suspended in mid-air by the rushing wind, froze like carved stone. Droplets of his own crimson blood hung motionless between his nose and the crystalline surface.
The red countdown vanished.
The grinding roar of the Shard-Mind ceased entirely.
Total, suffocating silence swallowed the space as the blackness inverted into an unbearable, blinding white expanse. The geometry, the ziggurat, the sky, the monster—all of it wiped clean in a single frame.
Suspended in the boundless, featureless void, Ghavir hung motionless, unable to move a single finger. Even his lungs refused to expand, locked in the exact millisecond of impact.
Then, directly before his pupils, a gargantuan dialogue frame faded into view, its borders sharp and uncompromising.
