In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. the Earth was formless and empty and darkness covered the deep Waters. the spirit of God was hovering over the waters. then God said "let there be light" and there was a light and God saw the light was good so God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness night and evening passed and morning came marking the first day. then God said "let there be a space between the waters separate the Waters of the heavens from the Waters of the Earth" and that is what happened and God made this space to separate the waters of the Earth from the Waters of the heavens. God called the space sky and evening pass and morning came marking the second day. then God said let the waters beneath The sky bow together into one place so dry ground may appear and that is what happened. God called the dry ground land and Waters sea and God saw that it was good. then God said let the land sprout with vegetation every sort of seed bearing plant and trees that grow seed bearing fruit and produce the kinds of plant of trees from which they came and that is what happened the land produced vegetation all sorts of seed bearing plants and trees with seed bearing fruit. their seeds produce plants and trees of the same kind and God saw that it was good. evening pass and morning came marking the third day then God said let lights appear in the sky separating the day from the night and days from the years that these lights in the sky shine down on the Earth and that is what happened God made two great lights the large one to govern the day and the smaller one to govern the night. he also made the Stars. God set these lights in the sky to light the Earth to govern the day and the night and separate the light from the darkness and God saw that it was good and evening passed and morning came marking the fourth day. Then God said let the water swarm with swarms of living creatures and let birds fly above the Earth across the expanse of the heavens so God created great sea creatures and every living creature that moves with which the water swim according to their kinds and every winged Bird according to its kind and God saw that it was good and God bless them saying be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas and let birds multiply on the earth and there was evening and there was morning the fifth day. Then God set with the Earth bring forth living creatures according to their kind livestock and creeping things and beasts of the Earth according to their kinds and it was so and God made the beasts of the Earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Then God said let us make man in our own image after our own like this and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and overall the Earth and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in his own image and the image of God he created him male and female he created them and God blessed them and God said to them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the Earth and subdue it. And you shall have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the Earth and God said behold I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of the Earth and every tree with seed in its fruit you shall have them for food. So every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens to everything that creeps on the earth everything that has the breath of Life I have given a great green plant for food and it was so. So God saw everything that he had made and behold it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the Earth were finished and all the host of them. So on the 7th Day God finished his work that he had done and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it God rested from all his work what he had done in creation these are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created in the day that Lord God made the Earth in the heavens when no Bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land and there was no man to work the ground.
