Chapter 7: Unhinged Hunger

1.5k words

Throat dry, Neha watched Arun across the breakfast table. Every glance he threw her way felt like a physical touch, a cold promise. Her phone vibrated in her pocket, a constant phantom limb of dread. Had he sent it? Was it out there? Her stomach clenched tighter than a fist. He buttered his toast slowly. A maddening, deliberate pace. No rush. No urgency. Just a silent, predatory amusement in his eyes. She picked at her scrambled eggs, the taste like ash. Every laugh from their friends, every casual comment, grated on her nerves. They were oblivious. Happily chatting about plans for the day. A trek to a nearby waterfall. Lunch at a local eatery. "Neha, you coming with us?" Priya asked, her voice light. Neha hesitated. Her eyes flickered to Arun. He took a sip of his coffee, a small, knowing smirk playing on his lips. His gaze held hers, an unspoken challenge. "I... I don't feel so great," Neha mumbled, forcing a cough. "Maybe I'll just stay here. Rest up." Concern creased Priya's brow. "Are you sure? We can delay if you want." "No, no. Go ahead," Neha insisted, waving a dismissive hand. "I just need a quiet morning. I'll join you guys later. Maybe for lunch." Arun cleared his throat. "Sounds good. I think I'll hang back too. Someone should be here in case Neha needs anything." Neha's breath hitched. A cold dread seeped into her bones. He wasn't going to send the photo. Not yet. He was going to prolong her agony. Now, he was going to be alone with her. Her friends exchanged glances. A few raised eyebrows. But they didn't push. They were used to Arun being protective, even possessive, of their group. And of Neha. Soon, the sound of bags rustling and cheerful goodbyes echoed through the house. The front door clicked shut. Silence descended, heavy and suffocating. Neha could hear her own frantic heartbeat. Minutes stretched into an eternity. She stayed rooted to her chair, pretending to finish her cold eggs. Every shadow seemed to lengthen, every creak of the old house amplified. Arun sat opposite her, an unreadable expression on his face, his gaze fixed on her. Finally, he spoke. His voice was low, a dangerous hum. "Feeling better now?" Neha flinched. She pushed her plate away. "I'm going to take a shower." It was an escape, a desperate plea for a moment of peace, even if it was just to wash away the sticky feeling of dread. She hurried out of the dining room, practically ran up the stairs. Her fingers fumbled with the bathroom door handle. Locked. She turned the latch, stepped inside, and quickly secured the bolt behind her. Steam began to fill the small room as she turned on the hot water. The rush of it was a temporary shield. She stripped quickly, tossing her clothes into the hamper. Stepping under the spray, she let the heat wash over her skin, trying to cleanse away the morning's tension. Suddenly, a knock. Hard and insistent. Neha froze, water dripping from her hair into her eyes. "Neha?" Arun's voice, muffled but clear, pierced through the shower's roar. "Are you okay?" Her heart hammered against her ribs. She didn't answer. Just gripped the shower head, knuckles white. "I know you're in there," he said, his voice dropping, closer now. "We need to talk. About us." Panic flared. "There is no 'us'!" she shouted back, her voice cracking. "Just... just friends!" A low chuckle vibrated through the door. "Is that what you call it? Because what happened yesterday, Neha? And this morning? That wasn't 'just friends'." He was right. A sickening wave of shame and desire washed over her. She turned off the water. The silence felt deafening. Her body trembled, half from the sudden cold, half from fear. "Open the door, Neha," he commanded, his tone firm. "We're talking about this. Now." Slowly, reluctantly, Neha reached out. Her hand hovered over the bolt. Her mind screamed at her to resist, to stay locked away. But a strange, magnetic pull drew her fingers to the metal. She unlatched it. Arun pushed the door open before she could pull her hand away. He stepped in, steam swirling around his form. His eyes, dark and intense, raked over her naked body. She hugged herself, trying to cover her breasts, her modesty a futile gesture. He didn't speak. Just reached out, his hand bypassing her arms, cupping her face. His thumb stroked her cheek, surprisingly gentle. Then his other hand dropped. It slid past her stomach, tracing a path lower, lower. His fingers found her, already slick. Neha gasped, her eyes flying open. His touch was firm, possessive. He didn't ask. He just took. His thumb pressed hard against her clit, circling, then dipping lower, one finger pushing inside, then another. "Arun!" she whimpered, her voice a strangled plea. "Stop!" He didn't stop. His eyes burned into hers. "Stop what? This? This is what you want, Neha. This is what you crave. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to yourself." His fingers moved faster. Harder. He pulled her closer, his body pressing against hers, the thin towel around his waist doing little to conceal his arousal. His scent, masculine and musky, filled her senses. Her mind reeled, a confusing mix of fear and undeniable pleasure. "Tell me," he whispered, his lips grazing her ear, sending shivers down her spine. "Tell me what you feel. Tell me you want this. Tell me you want *me*." Her hips began to rock instinctively, betraying her. She tried to fight it, to keep still, but the friction was too exquisite. Her legs threatened to buckle. He held her steady, his fingers relentless. "Neha," he growled, pulling back slightly to look into her eyes, his grip on her hips tightening. "You're soaking wet. And you're trembling. You're trying to hide it, but I can feel it. Your body begs for me." He pulled his phone from his pocket. Neha's eyes widened in horror. "No! What are you doing?" "Documenting our progress," he said, his voice flat, devoid of emotion, yet laced with a dark possessiveness. He angled the phone, and the flash briefly illuminated the most intimate part of her. A click. Her breath caught in her throat. He had done it. Again. "You... you can't!" she choked out, tears stinging her eyes. "That's... that's too much!" "Is it?" He dropped the phone onto the tiled floor, his attention fully back on her. "Or is it exactly what we both need?" He lifted her, her legs automatically wrapping around his waist. Her back hit the cool tiles of the shower wall, the impact jarring but igniting a new kind of thrill. He entered her with a forceful thrust, a grunt escaping his lips. She cried out, a sharp, surprised sound that quickly dissolved into a moan. His mouth found hers, devouring her protests, turning them into hungry whimpers. He kissed her deeply, roughly, his tongue plundering her mouth. Her hands fumbled, finding purchase on his shoulders, then tangling in his wet hair. He lifted her again, adjusting his angle, pushing deeper. The shower stall felt too small, too confining, yet it amplified every sensation. Her legs locked around his waist, pulling him closer, demanding more. Each thrust was an invasion, a claim. He moved with a primal rhythm, slamming into her, pulling out, then driving back in. Her head lolled back against the wall, eyes squeezed shut, a raw sound tearing from her throat. He turned her, pressing her against the wall, one hand gripping her hip, the other supporting her weight. Her body was a willing canvas for his rough exploration. He drove into her from behind, her breasts pressed against the cool tiles. A groan escaped him, low and guttural. Her nails dug into his back, leaving angry red marks. He carried her along the wall, pushing her against every surface, every angle. Her hips rolled, desperate for friction, for release. The world narrowed to the feel of his body against hers, the sound of their ragged breathing, the desperate pleas escaping her lips. He spun her, lifted her, pressed her. Each position was more intense, more demanding than the last. Neha's vision blurred. Her body was a coil of pure sensation, tightening, tightening. Every muscle screamed. Every nerve ending zinged. She clung to him, a desperate, shuddering mess, lost in the storm he had unleashed. His name, a broken whisper, fell from her lips again and again. His pace quickened, a relentless assault. Her hips bucked violently against him. The climax hit her like a tidal wave, a shattering, all-consuming explosion. Her back arched, her entire body rigid. A long, guttural moan ripped from her throat. "Aaaah! Aaaah!" ---
