The Anyxorus Dominion: Year 3031
The year is 3031. For the past century, humanity has lived behind massive walls, trapped in a desperate, systematic bargain for survival.
The Patient Zero Incident (Year 2931)
One hundred years ago, the world was normal. Everything changed inside a high-security research laboratory when a scientist discovered a highly volatile, rapidly spreading virus. Unable to eradicate the pathogen, researchers tested it on an animal host. Initially, the injection showed no effect. Moments later, the animal mutated into an unrecognizable, bloodthirsty monster, slaughtering every scientist in the room.
Although special forces arrived quickly and eliminated the beast, the containment failure was absolute. The government attempted to hide the existence of the newly named Anyxorus virus, but it was already too late.
The Biological Paradox & The Airborne Threat
The greatest threat of Anyxorus is its aggressive need for a host. The virus spreads rapidly through the air, but scientists discovered a terrifying flaw: if the virus does not actively consume and rewrite a biological host, it multiplies exponentially in the atmosphere.
Why not just kill the infected immediately? Destroying or breaking open a host's body releases the trapped virus straight back into the sky, where it multiplies out of control. However, if you kill the host while keeping its main body fully intact, the virus cannot escape — and dies along with its host.
What counts as "destroyed"? Any major damage to the core body from the head down to the pelvic region counts as destruction. Cutting off separate limbs like arms or legs does not count as destroying the main body.
Why doesn't the airborne virus infect everyone? Anyxorus is an incredibly intelligent, sentient pathogen. It does not infect randomly; it actively screens the atmosphere and selectively chooses specific human vessels that match its ideal evolutionary criteria.
How to Fight & Kill the Infected
All mutated monsters share one critical weakness: their neck.
- Making a clean, partial cut through the neck — without severing it completely — instantly paralyzes the monster. It slips into a coma-like state it can never wake from, and dies shortly after.
- Because the main body stays whole, no virus escapes, and the pathogen perishes with the host.
- Any other method that kills the monster while leaving its core body intact also works safely.
The Magical Barriers and Divided World
To protect the population, civilization was completely rebuilt across over 300 countries. Every single nation constructed massive, advanced containment walls.
The Anti-Viral Shield: These walls are reinforced by powerful magical barriers that physically block the Anyxorus virus from crossing into urban airspace.
The Dead Zone: Because the virus is strictly kept outside the cities, the entire planet outside the walls is treated as a hazardous Dead Zone where the virus freely roams the air.
The Outpost Labs: Consequently, all scientific research facilities, testing labs, and experimental installations are located outside the city walls, directly inside the volatile environment where Anyxorus thrives.
The Frontline Vanguards (Superpowered Protectors)
Because ten percent of the global human population is turned into monsters every decade, the wild forests are constantly filling up with dangerous beasts. To prevent the monster population from growing too massive and breaching the walls, every country established an elite military division known as the Frontline Vanguard.
The Awakening: A rare percentage of humans are born with incredible superpowers—such as elemental manipulation, telekinesis, superhuman durability, or energy constructs. These individuals are fully exempt from the global sacrifice system; their unique biology makes them unsuitable hosts for Anyxorus, so they are never selected by the lottery.
The Population Control: These superpowered soldiers are deployed directly into the dangerous Dead Zone outside the walls. Their primary mission is to hunt down and kill excess monsters in the wild forests using only safe, body-intact methods, ensuring the beast population remains perfectly balanced and equalized.
The System and The Sacrifice
Left with no other choice, global governments and scientists designed a mandatory global lottery. They presented humanity with a brutal ultimatum: allow the airborne virus to completely mutate the entire human race, or systematically sacrifice a portion of the population to keep the virus contained within living hosts.
Humanity accepted the compromise. Every ten years, a global system randomly selects exactly ten percent of the human population — excluding all naturally Awakened individuals — to undergo the process.
Zero Escape: If a chosen citizen attempts to run or hide, superpowered tracking teams capture them immediately. There is no escape.
The Mutation: Once injected with the pure Anyxorus strain, the victims rapidly mutate into mindless beasts.
The Exile: These newly formed monsters are airlifted and dropped into random, designated wild forests across the globe, where the Frontline Vanguards wait to manage their numbers.
