Nifibia took a tense step forward, his brilliant blue form glowing brighter, but Yasmin did not flinch. Instead, she took a deep breath and began to softly hum the old lullaby her angel great-grandmother had taught her. The sacred melody instantly filled the kitchen, and the cold wind that Nifibia had brought with him began to die down. The creature froze, his piercing green eyes widening in surprise beneath his dark mask. With calm and practiced grace, Yasmin poured hot water into a delicate clay cup. She added a blend of traditional leaves and then carefully dropped in the silver dust of the Echo Bloom. As the spice dissolved, a breathtaking fragrance of starlight and ancient memories rose from the cup. She extended her hand, offering the tea to her former rival. "Drink, Nifibia," she said softly. "You came for your destiny. Taste it."The blue being hesitated, his wings twitching, but the gentle power of the angelic lullaby disarmed his defensiveness. He took the cup with his blue, clawed hands and took a slow sip.For a moment, there was absolute silence. Then, Nifibia gasped. A tiny crack appeared on his dark, bird-like mask, glowing with a soft gold light. Tears of pure energy welled in his green eyes. The magic of the Echo Bloom was working. Images from three centuries ago flashed in his mind, but they weren't about war. He remembered his true purpose—he had been a noble protector of the desert who was tricked and cursed by an evil sorcerer. The heavy anger in his aura began to melt away, replaced by a profound, weeping sorrow. He looked at Yasmin, his mask cracking further, realizing she had helped him remember his true, light soul once again.
