In the damp darkness of a hidden cellar, two broken souls collide: Basti, a dedicated police detective bound by duty, and Jinx, a lethal, fractured contract killer. By all laws of the city, Basti should handcuff him. Instead, he sees the wounded soul beneath the monster's mask. For Jinx, survival has always meant transaction; his body was a currency, and intimacy was merely a weapon or a trade. He tries to seduce Basti to gain the upper hand, but Basti does the unthinkable: he says no. This rejection isn't born of disgust, but a fierce, protective instinct to shield Jinx from his own cycle of abuse. But Jinx is not alone in his own mind. Sharing his body is Akito, a gentle, deeply traumatized alter ego who craves the very tenderness Jinx weaponizes. As Basti is dragged deeper into a web of conspiracy, he must navigate a deadly psychological minefield to save the man he is forbidden to love.
